Aranet Ultrasonic Distance Sensor
Checking grain level in a silo or liquid level in a container are two of the practical uses of this Aranet wireless sensor, which relies on ultrasound to find the distance to an object. It emits a high-frequency sound wave and times how long the wave takes to reach the object and come back.
It handles a wide range of materials, both liquid and non-liquid, and suits other uses as well.
