DS1923-F5 Hygrochron Temperature/Humidity Logger

The DS1923 is set up and read by a host computer over the serial 1-Wire protocol, which needs just one data lead plus a ground return. Each unit leaves the factory laser-marked with a guaranteed unique 64-bit registration number for absolute traceability. Its durable stainless-steel package stands up well to dirt, moisture and shock, and accessories let you mount it on almost any object, including containers, pallets and bags.

Application

The DS1923 suits long-term monitoring of the temperature and humidity of anything it is attached to or shipped with, such as fresh produce, medicines and medical supplies, as well as use in refrigerators and freezers and logging of climatic data while sensitive goods are transported or during critical processes such as curing. A 1.27mm hole in the lid lets air reach the humidity sensor; the rest of the electronics inside the DS1923 is sealed off from ambient humidity.

The DS1923 starts out sealed to IP56. Aging and conditions of use can weaken the seal over time, so where there is significant exposure to liquids, sprays or similar environments, placing the Hygrochron under a protective shield is recommended.
