TDR-315H Soil Moisture Sensor with SDI-12 Interface
The TDR-315H is the first fully integrated, digitized Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR), giving highly accurate absolute soil moisture readings under every soil temperature and chemistry condition in which crops grow. No other soil moisture sensor on the market matches its accuracy and stability.
It brings TDR accuracy with an SDI-12 digital output, needs no external signal generation or processing electronics, and costs a fraction of the price of traditional TDRs.

Overview
What is new
The TDR-315H takes over from the earlier Acclima TDR-315 and TDR-315L, stays fully compatible with them and adds several improvements. In a single device it combines ultra-fast waveform generation and digitizing, a precision time base with 5 ps resolution and highly sophisticated digitizing and analysis firmware, delivering true time-domain analysis of the waveforms traveling through the soil.
Compared with the TDR-315L, it offers a faster rise time, a shaped incident wave, lower power consumption and a very fast response time. Its rise time matches the TDR-315, while its power draw and its price are both much lower. The SDI-12 interface works with any data logger that complies with SDI-12 version 1.4.
Installation
The form factor suits shallower horizontal installations: the sensor is pushed into the side wall of a trench dug to the required measuring depth. A probe guide is supplied so the waveguide rods stay parallel as they are pushed into the soil.
