The Aquasonde 2000 multiparameter probe covers every standard parameter in the range and adds room for 1 x optical sensor and 1 x optional ISE sensor. It keeps the accuracy and performance of the Aquaprobe line while adding a large internal memory and power reserve, so it can stay in the water for long-term monitoring of surface water, groundwater, aquaculture, lakes and estuaries.

Aquasonde options

Rapid deployment key

Each Aquasonde ships with a rapid deployment key. Once fitted, this single device:

  • seals the connector;
  • starts the pre-programmed logging regime automatically;
  • shows at a glance the health, battery and memory status of the Aquasonde.

This means the whole Aquasonde set-up can be done in the office with the PC application, while logging begins at the exact moment of deployment, with visual confirmation that the Aquasonde is working correctly as it goes in.

Vented cable option

Every model has an internal barometric pressure sensor, used to calculate depth and dissolved oxygen percentage saturation.

When the Aquasonde will stay deployed for more than one day at a time and accurate depth and %DO values are needed, a vented cable is recommended.

For profiling, dip tests or short deployments, where barometric pressure hardly changes, no vented cable is needed.

Vent / data hub

This option terminates the vented cable, holds a desiccant bottle and provides a USB port for data retrieval, together with a visual indication of the Aquasonde’s health, battery and memory status.

Plugging a PC running SondeLink into the USB port gives direct access to the Aquasonde: live data viewing, live logging straight to the PC, retrieval of logged data and full configuration, all while the Aquasonde stays submerged.

SondeLink PC application

The free SondeLink PC application offers, through a built-in USB interface:

  • Live data viewing
  • Real-time logging directly to the PC
  • Full calibration with calibration report generation
  • Retrieval of logged data
  • Export of logged data to spreadsheets and text files
  • Complete set-up utility
