HS141921G iButton Temperature Data Logger, Water-Resistant to IPX8
The HS141921G is an iButton temperature data logger with an upgraded protection class compared with the DS1921G iButton: it withstands surface moisture and various chemicals, can stay immersed continuously and meets IPX8 according to DIN EN 60529.
It operates from -40°C to +85°C and stores 2048 readings. Keeping or running it above +50°C noticeably shortens battery life.

Overview
Protection without an enclosure
A rugged, permanent resin coating raises the protection class of the iButton. Notches on the top and bottom keep the electrical contact accessible, and a bracket with a mounting hole is supplied so the unit can be fixed to an object.
Because the coating sits directly on the iButton, the small size is kept, although the short thermal response time of an unprotected iButton stays the same. With suitable accessories it can be read and programmed comfortably and easily, even in wet conditions, and the fiddly, error-prone step of fitting the iButton into a protective enclosure and taking it out again is gone.
The resin is extremely durable and chemically inert, so the protection lasts for the whole service life and temperature range of the iButton. Technical details are in the DS1921G-F5 iButton data sheet.
