Overview

Measuring principle

Inside, a thermopile works together with a thermistor. Every object above absolute zero emits electromagnetic radiation whose wavelengths and intensity depend on its temperature; by measuring the infrared energy radiated by the surface itself, the HS14IRS2E obtains its surface temperature, which is its greatest strength.
