HS1922L iButton Temperature Logger, Water-Resistant to IPX8

A resin coat instead of a capsule

A rugged, permanent resin coat covers the iButton and raises its protection class. There is a notch at the top and at the bottom for electrical contact, and a bracket with a mounting hole comes with it so the unit can be attached to an object.

With no capsule around it, the iButton keeps its small size, while the short thermal response time of an unprotected iButton is unchanged. Suitable accessories let you read and program it comfortably and easily even when it is wet, and the fiddly, error-prone job of putting the iButton into a protective encapsulation and taking it out again is no longer needed.

The extremely durable, chemically inert resin keeps the iButton protected for its entire life span and across its temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Storing or running it above +50°C shortens battery life considerably.
