EKO’s new generation of ISO 9060:2018 Class A (secondary standard) pyranometers breaks with the traditional pyranometer architecture. The innovative, patented design combines the latest technologies with a state-of-the-art thermopile sensor and delivers an unprecedented step forward: low zero offset and faster response.

The compact single-dome sensor, based on an isolated thermopile sensor and a quartz diffuser, is immune to offsets and integrates all optional value-added functions, such as a ventilator, a heater and several industrial interfaces. The heater and ventilator are designed especially for areas exposed to dust, frost, snow and humidity.
The MS-80A is an MS-80 with a built-in 4-20mA converter, and the MS-80M includes a MODBUS converter. Both are compatible with industrial standards. With very low temperature dependency and outstanding non-linearity characteristics, the converter ensures optimal sensor performance in all environmental conditions.
MS-80 pyranometers are manufactured consistently under the strictest quality control and performance evaluation. The temperature dependency and directional response of each sensor are measured and validated, and the measurement report ships with the sensor. EKO provides a unique calibration that meets the international standards defined by ISO/IEC17025/9847.
The sensor has a 5 year warranty and a recommended recalibration interval of 5 years, and no longer requires desiccant replacement.
