Overview

Highlights

  • ISO9060:2018 Class A (secondary standard)
  • “Fast response” and “spectrally flat” subcategories
  • Quartz diffuser technology
  • ISO 17025 certified calibration
  • 5 year warranty and recommended recalibration

Sensor design

The compact single-dome sensor, based on an isolated thermopile sensor and a quartz diffuser, is immune to offsets and integrates all optional value-added functions, such as a ventilator, a heater and several industrial interfaces. The heater and ventilator are designed especially for areas exposed to dust, frost, snow and humidity.

Versions with industrial output

The MS-80A is an MS-80 with a built-in 4-20mA converter, and the MS-80M includes a MODBUS converter. Both are compatible with industrial standards. With very low temperature dependency and outstanding non-linearity characteristics, the converter ensures optimal sensor performance in all environmental conditions.

Manufacturing and calibration

MS-80 pyranometers are manufactured consistently under the strictest quality control and performance evaluation. The temperature dependency and directional response of each sensor are measured and validated, and the measurement report ships with the sensor. EKO provides a unique calibration that meets the international standards defined by ISO/IEC17025/9847.

The sensor has a 5 year warranty and a recommended recalibration interval of 5 years, and no longer requires desiccant replacement.
