Designed specifically for traffic applications, the detector is ideal for gathering long-distance visibility data along roads. It covers 10m to 10km, a range that can be extended up to 100km.
The forward scatter measuring principle and the sensor design keep the output accurate and reliable in every weather condition, free from the influence of nearby light sources, even flickering ones. The 10m to 10km range suits both road and aviation use. Built from rugged aluminum with a high-quality powder coating, the sensor delivers years of dependable service. Heating for the optical glass and the sensor hoods comes as standard, allowing operation in the harshest conditions. Both optical windows are monitored for contamination, and the visibility output is compensated automatically to cut maintenance needs.
