DB 20 Low-Cost Manual Dendrometer
The DB 20 is a stem increment sensor read by hand. A stainless band around the trunk measures tree circumference, starting from a stem diameter of 8 cm, over a circumference increment range of 60 mm.

Overview
Two-part design
The sensor consists of a measuring part, with scale and spring, and a stainless tape supplied on a spool with 20 m of tape. When you move it to another tree with a smaller DBH, the sensor can be reused; only for larger diameters does the tape need replacing with a longer one.
