EC1550 Conductivity & Temperature Sensor (SDI-12 and 4-20mA)

The EC1550 brings a digital output to the proven reliability and durability of the EC1500, a sensor the water industry has relied on for decades. Advanced power management built into its new SDI-12 control system keeps the draw below 5mA in sleep mode and at just 70mA while a reading is taken (typically 2 seconds). The 4-20mA EC (electrical conductivity) and temperature outputs remain available on the cable or on the optional waterproof connector, and the SDI-12 implementation supports signal cable runs of more than 500m.

With its reliability, low maintenance and smart digital controls, the EC1550 is the logical next step in conductivity monitoring.

Built for remote sites

The EC1550 suits low-power operation at locations where access and site visits are limited.

Design

Encapsulated toroid: unlike conventional electrode-based cells, it needs very little maintenance and delivers many years of accurate data without recalibration
Delrin tube and embedded temperature sensors that prevent corrosion-related degradation
Full-scale range specified and calibrated at the factory, selectable from 500 to 75,000µS/cm
Temperature sensor that can be factory set to compensate the EC output reading

Cable and connection

Supplied as standard with a sealed cable cut to the length the customer specifies, or optionally fitted with a waterproof socket; a matching cable plug can also be supplied.
