Overview

Complete air quality monitoring

Ostara logs a large volume of data from its many sensor options, tracking a broad set of air quality indicators such as:

  • Several fractions of fine dust (suspended particulate matter)
  • Key gases, including carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide and ozone

All of this data is logged and published online on the Inoview web platform, so users can reach and analyze air quality information from anywhere.

Advanced environmental sensing

Beyond air quality, Ostara measures the essential weather parameters:

  • Wind speed and direction
  • Temperature
  • Atmospheric pressure
  • Relative humidity

It also works out key environmental indices such as wind chill, dew point and frost point, giving a full picture of site conditions.

Integrated water quality monitoring

For sites that need to watch both air and water quality, Ostara integrates with the WiMo multiparameter water quality probe. Water quality data can then be captured and shown alongside the air quality indicators on the Inoview platform, which simplifies environmental monitoring and reporting.

Flexible, economical sensor options

Ostara has a low cost of ownership and can be fitted with only the sensors you need. Replacing the sensors (which have a limited lifetime) costs little compared with alternative products, making Ostara an economical choice for long-term monitoring. Solar power and a built-in rechargeable battery also keep running costs low and cut site visits.

Easy web interface

Ostara has a built-in web interface that any internet-enabled device can reach. Connect a computer or mobile phone to the unit’s built-in WiFi network to change settings or logging regimes with ease.

Who can benefit from Ostara?

  • Environmental agencies monitoring urban or industrial air quality
  • Industrial sites that must comply with environmental regulations
  • Research institutions carrying out environmental studies
  • Local councils and urban planners working to improve community health
